Insurance Scam
Got a call from pnb MetLife that I had taken a policy and have not paid the premiums. So the policy has lapsed but I can renew it and take the full maturity amount of 1.9lakh rupee after paying around 1 lakh rupees.
I don't remember any such policy, but it was very tempting.
Later as they kept following up, I discussed with some friends and realised this is a common scam. Thank God I didn't fall into the trap.
